Anton Lord

Biography

Anton Lord has invested the last few years breaking out from his commercial AV practice and applying his technical skills to conceiving his own sculptural forms. Interactivity, sound, light and kinetic elements feature heavily in much of his large-scale work. The natural environment has been a major factor in shaping his pieces, both as a backdrop to perform against as well as frequently being an integral “host” of his pieces. His work has been exhibited in a number of non / traditional settings including – large music festivals, Burning Man Regional Events, private gatherings, galleries, commercial buildings and major public exhibitions. He draws on inspiration from the “dusty edge” of art where the questions of “what is this?”, “why are we doing it here?” and “who are we doing this for?” routinely collide in an intoxicated haze of sequins, bicycles and wearable art.
